Graduation

Each year in June, the school proudly hosts a convocation ceremony in the gymnasium to honour the graduating class. This meaningful event celebrates students’ achievements and marks an important milestone in their educational journey. Following the ceremony, graduates gather with their families, peers, and staff for a celebration planned by the students, with support from parents, the school liaison worker, and staff.

Transition After Graduation

Planning for life after graduation is a key focus throughout the Senior Years. Students are supported in exploring pathways to post-secondary education, training, or the workforce. Career education courses are offered from Grades 9–12, and students are encouraged to participate in work experience opportunities in Grades 11 and 12 to build practical skills and confidence.

Students may also be referred to community agencies for support with funding applications and the development of training or transition plans. Parents and caregivers play an essential role in this process and are encouraged to actively support their child in exploring options. It is important to ensure that students complete the specific prerequisites required for their chosen post-secondary programs, as these may differ from high school graduation requirements.

Some members of the 2025 graduating class have secured employment with Boeing Canada Ltd, while others have chosen to pursue post-secondary education, reflecting the diverse pathways and successes of our graduates.

The Skills for Independence program assists students with additional needs to transition to programming that meets their goals and abilities.
